This man constantly motivates me to buy an acoustic guitar and start learning. But it's not good for me. I am a bass player and what sets me apart from most other bassists is that bass is my only instrument. Most bassists have a guitar or two lying around in their house; they learn at least two instrument at the same time. Bass is their secondary instrument. I improved much faster than my fellow bassists who bought bass at the same time as I did because I can put all my attention on one instrument. But man, guitar is such a beautiful instrument, especially in the hands of John Frusciante. JF is the kind of musician who can steal your heart with just a few notes. He makes actual music unlike other guitarists who play a hundred notes per second of which the listeners can neither hear nor remember a single one. But if John plays a melody with only 3 notes, you won't be able to get that out of your head the rest of the day. If I ever make the mistake of buying a guitar, this is the first song that I will learn. Then under the bridge, snow, soul to squeeze and so on.

Twenty years being a heroin addict I discovered John three years ago and his story his music and his haunting ability to Express pain and sorrow coming out of his soul through that guitar actually incredible im 1 year and three months sober thank you John for making me feel that I was not alone through all of this you saved my life John

I don't know why this video barely has any views, its so relaxing and adorable! I keep coming back to it and I hope to see more of this concept

when i was a kid this video was the one that makes me so happy bc it looks like he's so joyful, that was almost 15 years ago, now i watch these video and it makes me so sad and nostalgic, time goes fast... John, i'll always admire you and your love for music

A v good friend of mine chose this for the reflective music of another v good friend's cremation who was a massive chilis and in particular John fan so this for me is an especially emotional song ... there wasn't a dry eye ... my friend died way too young from a myriad of mental and physical problems, that I just wish I could have helped him out of, and I miss him every day and every time I hear RHCP or John ... I just wish he'd lived to see them reunited and it could maybe have eased the pain if only a little
